Nice Vintage Kenmore 117.840. "The Kenmore 84"/Pfaff 139
According to White : a product of American and German ingenuity!!
This machine was manufactured in the 50's in West Germany by the Gritzner Nahmaschinen GmbH and imported to the USA .
This is is a rare work horse in the world of home sewing machines,
It is one of the very few that will use industrial type high-shank presser feet.
This is a very durable machine, robustly constructed with a
strong, heavy cast iron frame.
The zig-zag and cam mechanisms
are compact, strong, and accessible at the top of the machine for
ease access and maintenance.
Nearly all of the parts are precision
machined from metal castings. There are very few (if any) parts
that are made from stamped sheet metal. Many of the oiling
points are marked with red paint as a reminder.
This is a very nice durable machine. I have cleaned, lubricated it , sewn with it.

his machine is used and in working condition. The needle bar position needs adjustment.
I made stitche sample on fabric. I recently cleaned and oiled it. It i

I package using bubble wrap and a lot peanuts to cushion and protect the machine from interior movement and external trauma to the box.
