Singer Scholastic Graduate 2 Sewing Machine w/Man, Accs, Touch & Sew

If you like the Touch & Sew body style of Singers, you'll love this neat Graduate version. It is, essentially a Touch & Sew from back in the day, that was used to teach students how to sew. As such, it was beefed up with heavier duty components like a super thick cord, a motor that is bolted into the machine do it can't be stolen, the front access door is bolted shut so it can't be messed with, and there are other little quirks included so that the students won't screw around with the machines and possibly throw it out of whack.
It sews pretty good, if you like Touch & Sew machines, and I have lubed up every moving part, even the difficult to access motor bearings, so that it keeps on sewing well. It has been well used but it still sews nice. Check out the swatch I sewed, and you can see that it does a dandy job there. It comes with the actual manual as well as a student check-list to trouble shoot problems. Pretty neat if I must say so myself.
Just imagine how many students learned how to sew on this machine, which means that you can own a piece of history which is what this Singer Graduate is all about.
