Offered for auction is a Kenmore Model 1504(158.15040) Flat Bed Sewing Machine, Cast Aluminum housing, all metal gears,shafts and linkages, Comes with 16 different cams, buttonholer attachment, extra bobbins and needles, tools and manual on CD
Nice clean machine, Excellent condition
Uses the most popular of the Kenmore cams and comes with 16 different cams
Buttonholer has 5 different buttonhole sizes
Machine includes Manual on CD
Kenmore standard long bed with square corners
Industry Standard 15 class notched hook oscillating shuttle for long life and dependability
2 stage presser foot lift, basic lift and release is 5/16" and secondary lift and hold is 7/16"
Strong 110-120 Volt 1.0 Amp motor with
New drive belt
Controls on front of machine are Top dial: Stitch Length, bottom dial: Stitch Width,Controls on bed are Right: Push button power switch, Center: Push down reverse button and Left: dropping feed dogs control
The stitch width dial is missing the round tin decorative disc from the front, It does not affect the operation of the machine and is for decorative purposes only
Rigid cast aluminum housing, all metal gears,shafts and linkages
Machine has beencleaned, adjusted, lubricated, test sewn/set up on a variety of fabric types and thicknesses ranging from basic 2 layer of fabric for pattern stitching to vinyl upholstery material to 8 layers of denim jeans material to 8 layers of waterproof outdoor awning fabric
The machine has a center and left needle straight stitch position, During normal operation the needle is center in straight stitch to use the left needle position remove pattern cam and turn stitch width dial, this moves the needle to the left position, you can move it all the way to the left or somewhere in between center and left,
We used the left position to sew along the edge of this vinyl upholstery material we seamed together
The machine has adjustable stitch
width, the longest stitch is 5 1/2 stitches per inch
