Powder horn, hand engraved "Don't tread on me, Liberty or death ".

Description

The Gadsden flag was adopted in 1778. With its bold rattlesnake and bolder phrase "don't tread on me ", it was a potent symbol of rebellion against British tyranny. This is a genuine cow horn with wooden fittings and a leather strap. It is fully functional, and hand engraved with the Gadsden flag features, and the phrase, "Liberty or death." On the leather strap and plug retainer strap are soild brass and chevron trade beads, and brass cones. The cap is studded with brass tacks, and has horse hair drops with brass cones.See pics for details and thanks for looking.
