This lot consists of over 45 square feet of 46 different types of veneer from 36 species. For example, American black walnut is represented by both a crotch sheet and some quartersawn sheets, so it counts as two types from one species. There is a sister lot, #52, which has a DIFFERENT set of 52 types of veneer from an overlapping set of 36 species. The two lots combined have a total of 98 types of veneer from 57 distinct species (American black walnut, for example, occurs as a separate species in each lot but in the two combined, it counts for 4 types but only one species). If you are looking for the best price on veneer, this isn't necessarily the best lot since some of what you are paying for here is the meticulousness with which I have taken the pictures and identified the veneers (in the pictures, not on the sheets themselves), plus the fact that I've put in consecutive pairs of sheets for many of the types included (see the pics).
There is enough here to make your own wood ID kit plus have a whole lot left over for marquetry and/or other projects, particularly if you buy both lots, and if you buy both lots, I will eliminate both packing charges to save you .00 and of course will combine the lots for shipping.

I will always combine shipping as much as possible to save you money, and that includes using USPS "Flat Rate" boxes when possible (if it saves money).
VENEER CONDITION:
o All of my veneer sheet sales are of new, excellent quality veneer, cut to lengths just over 12" unless otherwise stated or shown in the picture(s) and with widths as stated in the lot description.
o All veneer is nominally 1/42nd inches thick unless otherwise noted.
o It is always my intention to deliver sound veneer, but there may be occasional handling splits and/or end splits. I always comment on any that I notice as I put the lots together.
o "Mixed sizes" means that at least some of the sheets will not be 12" long.
o Burl sheets may need flattening before use.
LOWER YOUR PER-LOT SHIPPING COSTS:
Personally, I really hate it when I buy something and the shipping is almost as much as what I've bought, and if you feel the same way you might see if you would find more than one lot useful since the extra shipping costs for a 2nd and 3rd lot is usually quite low and that makes the per-lot shipping cost more reasonable.
