Description
This is a lap steel, wood body, plastic fretboard, which was on the market from 1947 to 1959.
The tone is relatively sweet and fat for a steel, but it has a solid core and powerful sound.
There is no serial number on this instrument, so it is unknown exactly, but the pot and peg specifications suggest that it was probably made around 1956.
The pickups are original P-90s, and everything around the assembly is in original condition.
The inside has been disassembled and cleaned, and there are no problems with operation or noise.
The pegs are brass post one line cruson with no logo on one side and with logo on the other side.
The logo was added in 1956, so it was probably mixed up during the replacement period.
Only the knobs have been replaced.
The head peg bushings have been replaced with new ones.
The overall condition is clean with almost no scratches visible.
This is a great value for the money in good condition and sound.
It comes with an old special paper softshell case, but it is not practical as some parts are cut or peeling off.
