    Description

One of my favorite classic sewing machines, these Franklin's just won't die. I had to do quite a bit to bring it back from the brink, but once I got it running again, it did everything it was supposed to do.
The decals are really near perfect, with very very little wear. You can see for yourself how truly nice they are. There is some wear on the finish next to the bobbin cover plate, but other than that, the entire machine looks terrific. I put on a new drive rubber, and when the machine runs it kinda sounds like a flat spot. But, I think the rubber is too big because when I pull it slightly away from the hand wheel, the noise pretty much stops. Regardless, it sews well for what it is, and you can see from the swatch that it doesn't miss any stitches.
I lubed it all up, rewired the motor but could not get the back off of the light socket to rewire it. Rather than destroy it in the process, I am sending it along with the original wiring on it. I tested it and it works, and you could just put a plug on it, albeit the cord is a bit short.
I lubed it all up, the bobbin winder works, it runs fine and sews better. Remember, these Franklin's run in reverse then virtually any other sewing machine out there. It takes a little getting used to, but that's part of the fun.
Big and heavy, it will be 35 bucks shipping to anywhere in the lower 48. I will keep it threaded so you know how to do it as soon as it gets unpacked.
If you need some heavy duty leather sewing machines, check out the others we have on, including a Singer 15 and a Necchi BU.
    Thanks!
