The copper bopper style billet is by far the most popular modern flintknapping billet on the market because of its ease of use and forgiving nature.
Copper billets will 'pull' a flake off leaving less damage and micro fractures in your piece than most other types of billets. The medium and large modern precision knapping billets are perfect for small to large points and blades and finishing work. The domed copper cap on these billets are lead filled and provides a forward weight feel to run those nice long, thinning flakes on spalled and heat treated material. Billet handles come with a non slip rubberized coating for easy handling. Our wood pressure flaker features a cemented copper tip that can be hammered to resharpen until no copper remains.
