Vent pick for flintlock muzzleloader copper aged finish 1/16” tip
This listing is for ONE pick.
This is a handmade vent pick/touch hole pick for a flintlock. It is designed for cleaning a 1/16” vent (touch hole), which is the most common size. It has an aged finish. (Picks like this are generally attached to the shooting bag/pouch with a string/cord or leather thong.)
As you will see, the photos show a group of identical picks. However, the listing is for ONE PICK.
Overall length is about 3 ½ inches. Ring is about 9/16 outside diameter. Tip is guaranteed to be no more than 1/16” diameter for a full 1/2”. This allows the tip to go fully into the bore of the gun. The tip is blunt on the end. (Vent picks are pushing tools, for clearing powder from the vent channel before firing so as to prevent a delayed fire. They do not need to be sharpened. If you want to sharpen the tip, you can do so.)
As the pick is used, the tip will become scratched and fresh copper will show through the aged finish. It may also become slightly bent. This is normal and expected.
