Description
Bernina 1300 MDC Serger/Coverstitch Combo, Like New, Barely Used, Professionally Serviced.I bought this Bernina this year, new in the box.
Since this model had been discontinued by Bernina, I had it serviced immediately since I had no idea how long it had sat in a box unused.
The service technician confirmed a thorough Inspection and sewing off both the serger and the coverstitch functions.
It works perfectly.
I will include the service receipt with the sale.
I didn’t try the coverstitch because I already have a dedicated coverstitch machine.
But I did use the serger briefly.
I decided to sell it because I already have two other sergers and in these trying times, I need to economize.
If you are interested in this model, check it out online at Sewing Mastery where you will find 45 free videos demonstrating every aspect of this machine.
This machine does 2/3/4/5 stitch combinations, totalling 24 stitches and has an on board manual via the screen on the front of the machine.
Once you select a stitch, the screen displays everything you need to know regarding needles, tensions, knife position, differential feed, etc., for that stitch.
You have to manually apply these settings, the screen is just a handy reminder to use instead of referring to the printed owner’s manual.
The photos show all that is included in this sale, which is everything it came with, and all will be sent in the original box.
There are basic tools in the front door as well as extra presser feet, spool caps, needles, extra knife, screwdriver, oil, etc., in a clear pouch.
There is a fifth spool holder that clips onto the spool holder in the rear of the machine and a coverstitch table when reverting to that stitch.
It also comes with a clear cover (not shown), foot control and power cord, owner’s manual, threading guide. It weighs 20 lbs. (9 kg).
I will ship this item via United Parcel Service ground, fully insured.
