The coin is round in shape with a raised rim on the obverse and the reverse. The coin’s edge is grained.
Obverse: at the top – the relief image of the State Coat of Arms of the Republic of Belarus; beneath – the inscription: РЭСПУБЛIКА БЕЛАРУСЬ (THE REPUBLIC OF BELARUS); in the center – the engraving of Francysk Skaryna’s self portrait from the book "Genesis" published by Skaryna; to the left and right – a decorative ornament bearing the year of issue (to the left); beneath in the center – the denomination:
