The coins have the shape of a circle, with an edge protruding around the circumference on the front and back sides. The side surface of the coins is notched.
Obverse
at the top is a relief image of the State Emblem of the Republic of Belarus, along the circle there is the inscription: REPUBLIC OF BELARUS; in the center, against the background of a stylized image of a spinning wheel, there are images of bees and honeycombs; below is the denomination: 20 RUBLES (on the silver one) and 1 RUBEL (on the copper-nickel one), to the left of the denomination is the year of minting, to the right is the fineness of the alloy (on the silver one).
Reverse
in the center there is a stylized image of a bee, mythological images and symbols of Belarusian legends. On the right in a circle there is an inscription: LEGEND OF PRA PCHALU.
