The coin is round in shape with a raised rim on the obverse and the reverse. The coin’s edge is grained.
Obverse:
in the center — the relief image of the State Coat of Arms of the Republic of Belarus, and above is the circumferential inscription: РЭСПУБЛIКА БЕЛАРУСЬ (THE REPUBLIC OF BELARUS), in the centre of the circle — decorative composition in the form of a flower with four petals that depicts the plants of the series; at the bottom – the denomination: 1 РУБЕЛЬ (1 RUBLE), on the left side of the denomination— the year of issue.
Reverse:
in the center — the relief decorative image of the Least Moonwort, on the left and on the right side of which the enlarged fragments of its stem with its distinctive features are depicted; circumferential inscriptions — at the top "Botrychium simplex", at the bottom — "Граздoўнiк просты" ("Least Moonwort").
