    The coin is rectangular in shape with a raised rim on the obverse and the reverse. The coin’s edge is reeded.
    Obverse:
    in the center – the ornamental pattern in the form of a grapevine symbolizing the Theotokos, within the pattern – the representation of the cross which was erected in the territory of Zaslavl’s stronghold to commemorate the thousandth anniversary of the Orthodox Church in Belarus, and the alloy standard; at the top – the relief image of the State Coat of Arms of the Republic of Belarus and an inscription in two lines: РЭСПУБЛІКА БЕЛАРУСЬ (THE REPUBLIC OF BELARUS); and at the bottom – the denomination: 20 РУБЛЁЎ (20 RUBLES) and the year of issue to the right of the denomination.
    Reverse:
    in the centre — the image of the Most Holy Theotokos of Zhyrovichy (the representations of the Theotokos’s, Jesus Christ’s, and seraphim’s halos and the star on the Theotokos’s cloths are gold-plated); and at the bottom — an inscription: ЖЫРОВІЦКАЯ (OF ZHYROVICHY).
