in the center – the reconstruction of the citadel gateway of ancient Mensk; at the top – the relief image of the State Coat of Arms of the Republic of Belarus, a circumferential inscription: РЭСПУБЛІКА БЕЛАРУСЬ (THE REPUBLIC OF BELARUS), at the bottom – the year of issue and denomination: 1 РУБЕЛЬ (1 RUBLE)

the relief image of Gleb of Mensk, on the left – the representation of the unique stone icon of the Theotokos dating back to the 12th–13th centuries which has been found during the excavations of ancient Mensk, and a circumferential inscription: ГЛЕБ МЕНСКІ (GLEB OF MENSK) and the period of his rule: from 1101 to 1119.
