Description

Aromatic Cedar Knotty Plank wood veneer sheet 24" x 96" with 3M PSA peel stick pressure sensitive adhesive on paper backer 2' x 8' feet x 1/40" thickness A grade quality. Pictures are representative of actual stock which will vary in color and grain since it is a natural product. Some photos may be of other sizes, other helpful products (sold separately), customer projects and wet or finished veneer. Product is unfinished in size listed. Simply peel off the liner and adhere with pressure to a clean smooth surface. No contact cement or other glue needed. 3M high quality adhesive which is shown in last picture. Ships rolled in long narrow box with application instructions. Popular and unique product. Otgher sizes, backers and raw veneer are available.
This wood has knots that may need filled, since it naturally has some holes in it, which is normal for this wood. It is unlike most other wood veneers in that regard. There will be backer where the holes are. so filling them with putty or cutting other plug pieces from the same sheet works well.

About pictures
:
Most pictures have been temporarily wet on the lower portion of the veneer to show what the grain may look like when finish is added. Color adjustments have been made to show the color as best as is possible. It is impossible to get photos exactly correct in color, but we have made an effort to do so.

Thickness
:
(will not always be exactly correct, but relatively close)
Paper-backed veneers = 1/40”
Wood-backed veneers = 1/25”
Raw plain veneer with no backing = 1/32”-1/42”
How to cut
:
generally cut with a razor/box knife or similar tools and some type of straight edge.
How to apply
:
Paper-backed and wood-backed veneers are generally applied with contact cement. Raw plain veneer is applied with white or yellow wood glue and must have pressure applied while drying.
How to finish
:
most any conventional finishing products can be used with veneer that is applied correctly.
Disclaimer:
Sometimes veneers have minor splits or tears in them. These are usually taped or repaired in some manner and shouldn’t impact overall quality or satisfaction. There may also be some minor wood filler used to fill cracks and other crevices that may exist. Wood products are rarely perfect and some consideration of that may be needed occasionally since this is a natural product and is rarely ever perfect.
Some sanding is usually required before finishing to prepare the surface for a finish and occasionally to remove veneer tape, splice glue, or some other imperfection.
