This listing is for raw central Texas chert / flint stones used for starting fires with a steel striker, or for knapping and shaping into spearpoints or arrowheads.
Because these are natural rocks, they are highly variable, but each piece is approximately 3" long. They have not been heat-treated or processed in any way.
These are great for flint knapping arrowheads and striking sparks for making fires.
Chert and Jasper are the general name for several types of stone that are extremely hard and fracture into pieces with sharp edges. Flint is usually chert that is grey. The stones you will receive are typically reddish brown inside.
